The Moon Loungers perform at a charity dinner dance in Bristol for the Jessie May Trust
In a change of pace from our usual wedding gigs, the Moon Loungers headed to the Ramada Plaza in Bristol on Friday night to perform at a charity fund-raising bash for the Jessie May Trust.
As with most dinner dances, it was a case of set up at 5.00 and then head off for food and a sneaky beer. On returning to the hotel it soon became clear that our 10.00 start time was unlikely, so we passed the time by having our picture taken by the professional photographers in the lobby (see below) and chatting with the amiable DJ we were sharing the bill with…
Out set eventually kicked off at 10.30 and we proceeded to blaze our way through a 1.5 hour set that took in all the best bits of our evening repertoire. The dancefloor was packed throughout and the revellers did a great job of singing along whenever we asked them to!
Before handing over to DJ Steve, we finished off with our well-honed cover of Suspicious Minds to top off a very enjoyable performance.
As we left the venue at 12.30 the party was still going, so well done to all concerned and congrats to the organisers for putting together such an excellent event.
