April finishes in style with a great wedding gig at Priston Mill near Bath
April has been smashing for us gig-wise, and we finished the month in style with another enjoyable performance on Saturday night.
The venue was Priston Mill Tythe Barn – one of our absolute favourite places to play – and we were delighted to arrive and find the speeches all finished and the room ready to be set up for the evening party. It was soon time for the cake cutting (see above).
This was swiftly followed by the first dance. For this we played “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac, inviting guests to join the dance floor halfway through – which they did, and many of them stuck around for the rest of the first set. During the break we tucked into pork sarnies, had a quick beer, and got on famously with this hilarious Welshman called Gareth:
The second set was marvellous, highlights being a guest singing lead vocals on “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, Stu singing “It’s Not Unusual” for Gareth, and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” providing a perfect finale. Congratulations to a splendid couple!
May is a bit quieter on the gig front, so we’ll be hunkering down in the studio – watch this space for more videos coming your way…
